Stargate - The Imperative

Hallo alles,

Sorry to be writing in english on your german forum, however you'd probably cringe at my german

Just wanted to drop this off for all you Stargate fans out there. I'm the director/producer/VFX/SFX/Ad infinitum of an independent project based on the Stargate Universe, a combat based short film, titled Stargate - The Imperative.

We shot this on a 80€ budget, mostly with surplus German Bundeswehr equipment.

The short will follow Horseman 2-1, a special forces team sent through the gate to eliminate a high ranking goa'uld target- and the ensuing events. These events take place somewhere around Season 4 of SG-1.

We've put together a short trailer for you all to see, hope you find it enjoyable. Feel free to comment & critiscize (even in German, I understand a great deal ) - and spread it at your whim.

Look forward to the release of the Short in Dec of this year. Hundreds of hours of work are going into the post production phase, and hopefully you will all enjoy it as much as we have making it.

Nach deinem Trailer zu urteilen ist der film ja wirklich gut gelungen. Finde ich toll dass so ein kleiner eigener Film endlich mal gedreht wird. Ich sage nur: Daumen hoch .

The trailer lucks really great. I´m glad for your little film. I think it´s great when you turn your own movie. Also it looks quite professionally. How I said, a really good trailer for the film. Sorry for my bad English.

Horseman 2-1 (the team depicted in the short) may or may not be german in origin, all dialogue is however spoken in english. However, they are wearing german country patches, so in my mind it is indeed a German team

It is, however up to individual interpretation. The team is utilizing a mix of weaponry, ranging from M4(CQBR-SD), G36K, to HK416- so still mostly german.

And don't worry about your english folks- es ist besser als meine deutsch

er hat nur gemeint dass es dann "endlich" wohl ein deutsches sg team ist und es hoffentlich nicht dass schicksal des russischen teilt

he know that the sgc never used a german sg team, but its time that they do it^^ the german team should not have the same end like the russians in that labyrinth with the unas...

I can not find the direct relation to stargate. However the short snippet looks promising. Ithink it will become a movie like "sniper" which has the focus on ground combat against alien species.
